My son wore these on a muddy trail and the grip held up perfectly, plus they’re easy to pull on with the laces. They feel sturdy but not too stiff for a kid’s foot.

My son has put these through mud, creek crossings, and rocky trails for two months and his socks are still bone dry every time. The waterproofing actually holds up, which I didn't expect from a kids' boot. He says they're comfy enough to wear all day without complaining.

The orange color is even brighter in person, which my daughter loves, and the waterproofing kept her socks bone-dry through a wet creek crossing. Only wish the laces were a bit longer to double-knot easier.
